Contracts have been signed with
the Harrington-Russell Festivals,
Producers of Pageant and out-door
amusement plays, to write and
present their, new Pageant, "The
Smoke Flower" at four of the Agri
cultural Fairs , that is being spon
sored by r toe : Eastern ' Carolina
Chamber of Commerce, this fall,
according to. statement made by
N. O. Barlett, Secretary of the
present organization. The Pageant
will deal with the tobacco indus
try from its beginning and bring
It up to the present time, which Is
called the "Cigarette" age, - ac
cording to the authors. -Six hun
dred will make up the cast' from
each of the local communities. It
will be the first time that a To
bacco Pageant has ever been pre-,
