KEN.'. ' WIIXE, North Carotins .4 to Modification of the new cotton loan platt, was announced by the Agricultural Adjustment Adminis "tration.? The objective of the Ad ministration has been to get an av hMiii 7-8 middling for the produc ers of cotton., The plan previous ly announced has been modified, one change making it possible-for each producer of cotton to know on marketing his cotton the totaXa- J mount ho will receive for it The new plan proposes , loan, of 10 cents per pound on 7-8 low mid dling or better, The total received '"by growers of cotton, which does not command premiums cannot ex ceed 12 cents per pound, so. long as the base price Is below 12 cents per pound. Instead of making the adjustment payment on the basis of the four months average of 10 spot markets, this adjustment pay ment will now be based on the dally average of the 10 markets. The adjustment payment will be made on the basis oi uie xv b- that the cotton is sold by the pro ducer. These adjustment payments will be made through the cotton year up to August 1st 1936. They will be made to producers who have cooperated in the adjustment program and who agree to parti cipate in the 1936 program. Ad justment payments to cotton farm ers will be limited to 2c per pound. Loans and payments will be re stricted to actual production not in excess of the Bankhead Allot ment, and the adjustment pay ments will RDDlV tO all Sales Of 1935 Cotton. . nnttiSn Growers are urged to keep saleg records, says Mr. Mc Lendon, County Agent for Duplin County. Cotton producers who may wish to sell their cotton immediately or at any time during this crop sea son are urged to obtain and keep sales slips from buyers, so as to be sure to have adequate sales records on which the Government will be able to make adjustment payments under the new loan and adjustment plan. Producers who desire to mar ket their crop are advised to com pile a careful record which will in clude a description of the cotton sold, the buyer to whom the cotton was sold, the' date of sales and the , names of the parties, including ten ants, who have an interest in the WALLACE NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Davis Bryant and daughter, Mildred left Friday for Atlantic City to visit Mr. and Mrs. prate return of at least 12o per lb.
