Christmas Fruit Cake T cup butter . 2 cup. flour H cup molaasea 4 f g, well beaten 2 tb seeded railing 1 tb currants H tb citron Rind of 1 lemon rated H teaspoon salt 1 cup brown sugar h H teaspoon baking powder . yi cup domestic Sherry wins ii teaspoon soda H lb walnut or almond meat, choppad V, lb candied cherries Julc of 1 lemon Dredge all fruit and nuts with a lift! extra flour. Cream the butter, add suga-. eggs, molasses and 1 cup flour. To ttw remaining Sour add the salt, baking powder, oda and sift well. Add this flour mixture alternately with the wine to which baa ben dded the lemon juice and grated rind. Fold in tbe dredged fruit. Bake in pans which have been oDed and lined with.heaTT waxed paper. Bake at 250 for the first hour and a half. Then raise temperature to JO0 for the remainder of tbe baking period.
