v-' v Interesting news for this section has been going the rounds
of Xenansville township recently. ; A brick making firm at Rose-'
boro has taken samples of day from the farm of D. T. Chambers,
on the Xinston Highway, (N. C. 11), known as the "Bouse Place,"
with the view of purchasing, and building a modern brick kiln on
the farm, if the clay is found to be of the type used for the making
. of brick. A trailer load of the clay was taken away to be made
"into brick several weeks ago. Mr. Chambers told the Linotype Op
erator last weekend that he expected to hear in the near future as
to whether or not the firm would purchase the place. " ' 1
A modern brick kiln erected in this old neighborhood, (one of
the oonnty'i oldest and most historical neighborhoods) outside
of Kenansville, itself, should mean much to both the community,
and to KenansviHe, since Kenansvilla is the nearest town as well
as the county -seat i ; - , 1 , 1 ' i "
