The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length dress, of emboaed organdy with rhlnestones ornamenting the bod ice. The full skirt was edged with ehantllly lace. She wore organdy mitts and her shoulder length veil of illusion was gathered from a cap of matching organdy and edged in chantilly lace. She carried a white prayer book topped with a white purple-throated orchid and showered with stephanotis and rib ' con. .". ,. She wore matching headdress and mitts and carried a nosegay of blue sum mer flowers. brother-in-law of .the groom, was oess man. usners were Bonnie Thomas, brother of the groom; Ce cil Miller, brother-in-law of the bride; Mjacon Brown, cousin of the bride; and Clinton Campbell of Beulavllle. The soloist, Conrad Sloan, sang O Sweet Mystery of Life' and, as a benediction, 'The Lord's Prayer". Vows were spoken before a back ground of palms in front of which were candelabra holding white ta pers and baskefe-' of white gladioli, and under an arch entwined with spring ereenerv. The mother of the bride wore anavy crepe dress with white ac- -J' mad W 1 ' Jvi Vtai cessorlea, and an orchid corsage. Mrs. Thomas, the mother of the groom, ' wore a navy dress with white accessories and a purple or chid con age. ; Following the ceremony the couple received in the vestibule of the church. Braduate- of East Carolina College and has been a member of the" Chinquapin School faculty for- the past year, M-i Thomss attended Beulavllle High School and served four years wun tne wavy.- He is engaeed in farming. The couple will make their home in Beulavllle. ? , Following the wedding rehearsal, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. MiUer and Mlj Mary Brown enter tained the wed ding party at the Miller home. Mr and Mrs. Miller greeted the guests. The home thrown ensulte held lovely (arrangements of summer flowers. The mantle was banked with ivy and Magnolias flanked with lighted green tapers In dou ble candelabnas. , The refreshment table was cov ered in a handmade linen cut work and centered with pink and white mixed summer flowero flanked with white candles in crystal hold ers. The three, tiered wedding cake tembossed with green lamd pink was topped with the traditional bride and groom. The. cake was served by Miss Mary Brown after the bride and groom elect had cut the cake. From the opposite end of the table, Mrs. Laurance Brown o'f Kinston, , aunt of the bride, poured punch. Mints and nuts were rerved from the table. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hall, Mrs. Flay Danley and Miss Roslyn Harris as sisted in serving. The bride and groom elect pre sented gif's to members of the wedding ftarty. Attending were the wedding par ty, families and close friends. h i t v. fcj. Mrs. Ashe ' Miller greeted ' the guests. 1 ;.';, - y Arrangements of tweet peas end larkspur entwined with ivy were used in decoration. ' ' Miss Qulnn was presented a cor sage and gift in crystal by the hostesses, who also presented cor sage to her mother, Mrs. Tharon Quinn and Mrs. - Lou Belle Wil liams, mother of the groom elect. Miss Polly Brown, bride "elect' of June was remembered with a cor sage and gift. Enjoyable features of the eve ning were the several contests and games with prizes being awarded winners. In a contest 'Dedica'ed to Faye,' Mrs. Neion Carlton was the lucky purty, while Mrs. .Mau rice Jackson was winner iff" the contest, 'A Love Story in the For est Primeval.' Several others were winners at Bingo and in offering receipes to the bride to be on 'How to Hold Her Temper When nuDDy Arrives Home Late.' Following the entertainment the honoree was presented a shower of gifts in crystal. The gifts had been placed previoui ly on a lace covered table all being wrapped in white and tied with pink and green ribbons. Lighted green candles formed a background. At the opposite end of the room the lace covered refreshment table had a centerpiece of half circle of green lighted tapers surrounding a low oblong crystal bowl holding sweet peas. From one end of the table Mrs. Herman Miller served pear salad on lettuce topped with whipped cream and green cherried turtner emphasizing the bridal mo tif. Mrs. AHhe Miller poured tea. Completing the refreshments were cneese wafers, olives and ham wedges and salted nuts. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Ivy Nether cutt, Mrs. William Bostic. and Mr. . Hir t i iviaunce jacKSon. James Clarence Price of Gastonia has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry James Best of Wallace. The wedding will take place August 23 in the Wallace Baplist Church. Mrs. Z. W. Frazelle of Richlands and Kenansvllle, who before her marriage on Saturday at the Richlands Methodist Church, was Miss Jean Gurganu i of Jacksonville. The. wedding was attended by a large contingent of guests from Kenansville and Duplin County. Mr. and Mrs. Frazelle will return to Kenansville in August when the groom will resume his duties as principal of Kenansville High School. Hiss Jean Gurgonus Is Wed To Z. 17. frazelle In Double Ring Ceremony In Richlands In a 4:00 o dock ceremony at Richlands Methodist Church on the seventh of June, Miss Jean Gur ganus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ulus Gurganue of Jacksonville, N. C, became the bride of Z. W. Fra zelle. son of Mrc. Ethel Cox Fra zelle and the late Mr. Frazelle. The Rev. J. D. A. Sutry officiated at hte double ring ceremony. A program of wedding music was presented by Mrs. Lewis Syl vester, organist, and Mrs. J. A. Applewhite, jr., soioist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a sown of scallop ed Chantilly lace reaingote wun a formal train over a strapless aress of nylon tulle over satin. Her head dress was a Juliet cap of matching lace wtih silk illusion finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet o white spring flowers with satin streamers centered with a white orchid. Miss Betty Ann Gurganus, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a pink lace jacket, over a strapless gown of bouffant pink nylon net. The bodice of the dress was appliqued with lace and cord. She wore matching hat and mits and carried an arm bouquet of pink and blue spring flowers. Bridesmaids were Miss ' Elsie Gurganus and Miis Laverla Mae Padrick, cousins of the bride; Miss Jane Frazelle, cousin of the groom, and Miss Helen Bryan. They all wore bloe dresses and hats like that of the maid of honor and carried old fashioned nosegays of pink and white sweetmeat. Merwln Frazelle of Indianapolis was his brother's best man. Ush era were Gerald Frazelle of New Bern, brother of the groom; cnar- ley Frazelle of Jacksonville; Ken neth Frazelle of Richlands; and Rev. A. D. Wood of Rose Hill and Kenansville. Mrs. Gurganus, mother of the bride, wore a rose lace dress with navy accesones. Mrs. rrazeuc, the groom's molher, wore blue crepe with navy and pink accesor ies. Their corsages were white orchids. ImmedUtely following the cere mony a reception was given at the Richlands Community House by the bride's parents. Later when the couple left f.ir a wedding trip, the bride wore a navy linen ruit wi white accessor ies and the orchid from her bridal bouquet. Mrs. Frazelle is a graduate of RichUmds High School and attend ed East Carolina College. Sha is now employed by the Department of Public Welfare. Mr. Frazelle is a graduate of Richlands High School and East Carolina College where he was a member of the Sigms: Pi Fraternity. He attended Northwestern University and serv ed in the U. S.
