She entertained them at Aa delicious barbecue checken sup 'per at the Roscoe Jones Cafe. The table at which the guests were seated was covered with red, with a miniature cherry tree. Red, , white and blue candles centered on the table and guests were seated by place cards ol miniature George Washington hatchets. Wednesday, Feb. 18th after a short Illness. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. h. Thursday from the Sand Hill Primitive Bapist Church, near Potter's Hill, by Rev. Sylvester Gray, Primitive Baptist minister of Kinston. Interment will, follow in the church ceanetary. (He Is survived by his wife. Mn Cyndla Futrell Thigpen; four sons Murrell, Kafer, Jesse, and Steven Thlgpen, all of Potter' j Hill; six daughters, Mrs, Hejrman Smith, Mrs. Lee Turner, Mrs. O. B. Taylor and Mrs. Liston Kennedy, all of Beulaville, Mrs. Edmond Edwards of Kenansville and Mrs. P. B. Hall of Potter's Hill; one brother, Wil liam A. Thomas Willie Lloyd Thomas' 63. died on Tuesday, Nov. 17th. at 1015 p. m. at nis nome on Kose rim, Route 2 af ter a brief illness. He ''was a farmer and a lifelong resident of that community. He- was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church where funeral services were held Thursday, at 3:30 p. m. The Rev. E. B. Stewart of Teacheys, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. J. B. Case of Rose Hill. Burial was in Rockflsh cemetery. Surviving are his wife, the former Vivian E. Johnson; seven sons, Orell of Eliz abethtown. J. I. of Dunn.
