When scores were added, Miss May Hager was club high. She re ceived an attractive ash tray. Mrs. Amos Brinson was given a party apron for visitors high. Womans Club To Meet January 13 First regular meeting of the Wo mans Club for the current year will be held Thursday, January 13 at 3:30. Mrs. A. Eastern Star Meets Kenansville Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star met last Tuesday night at 7:30 in the Chapter room with the Worthy Matron, Kathleen P. Snyder presiding. After the Rit ualistic Opening, an interesting bus iness session was held. Prior to Ad journment an invitation for the members to be guests of St. John's Masonic Lodge at their Annual Sup per Meeting next Thursday night at 6:30 was extended by Brother Colon Holland. This supper will be fol lowed by a Public Installation of new officers of the Lodge at 7:30 in The Lodge Hall, on second floor of the Masonic Building. Members are urged to keep this date, January the 6th, in mind. UDC In Beulaville Met At Mrs. Carroll The John Ivey Thomas Chapter of the U.D.C. met Tuesday night, Dec. 21 with Mrs. Bill Carrotf The Christmas motif was carried out with pyrocantha, greenery and a beautiful Christmas tree. The dining room table was covered with a green cloth with an arrangement of candles and mum crysanthemums. The president, Mrs. Herman Mil ler presided. Mrs. S. P. Bostic read the ritual. Games were enjoyed which were directed by the hostess. Mrs. W. G. Jones played the piano for the name that tune game. Miss Lou Jackson and Mrs. Ray Humphrey won the prizes. Gifts were exchanged by the members of the chapter. Mrs. Her man Miller gave each member a lovely dish towel, The hostess, assisted by Mrs. C. F. Bostic of Beulaville announce the birth of -i son, Robert Keith, December 15 n the Lenoir Coifhty hospital. Mrs. Bostic is the former Miss Virginia Albertson. Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Williams Turner of Pink pill, announce the birth of a daughter, Julia Hipes on December 9 in the Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston. Mrs. Turner is the former Miss Julia Deane Sand lin of Beulaville.
