Edd Dudley Monk has been voted , Kenansville's colored '"Man of the 'Year.'' He was recognized in a sur ' prise honorable ceremony titled "A Guess Who Guess What", program Tuesday night. March 6, before a i large, appreciative audience. Th$ program consisted of tributes 'and, activities from students, teachers- y and friends. Miss Cornelia Best sang a solo accompanied by j Mrs. M. E. The Panthers hit 19 out of 23 shots from the free throw line. Charlie Lanier and Ricky Thomas led the Panthers with 16 points each. Jerry Simp son scored 13, and Rusty Lanier and Ricky Simpson had 7 apiece. L. D. Smith paced Topsail with 17 and Morris Andrews second with 16. In the second game on Wednes day night the Midway Raiders ed ged Swansboro 52-51 in a come from behind thriller.
