The party room was verv festive with decora tions carrying out the holiday motif. The dining tables held running cedar and candles and small ornaments, and the pia no had an arrangement of Ce dar, candles and centered by a Santa Claus. U. of North Coo leemee Baptist Church gave a party for the children ages 6-9 of the Mills Home, Thornasville on Saturday afternoon at the Jerusalem Township Fire Sta tion. A program will be given which was written by Miss Ruth See which is a candlelight service. Mrs. James Ridenhour will lead the program as she read of the Christmas events in the life of Christ. The Adult Choir will sing special music. Among the special numbers will be: O" Come, O Come, Emmanuel", "Watchman, Tell Us Of The Night," and "Brightest And Best Of The Sons Of the Morn ing". The Youth Choir will sing "Silent Night" and "Dear God, 'twas Thou Didst Light The Stars". The congregation will join in the singing of Christmas carols. Near the close of the service the congregation will join in lighting candles as a symbol of our receiving the light from the Light of the World. After the Candlelight Ser vice the congregation will en joy the annual Christmas Tree .vith presents for all. PTA Meeting Has Large Attendance ApproximateJy two hundred people attended the regular P. T. A. Meeting on Monday night at the Cooleemee School. This was one of the largest attend ances for quite a while. A Christmas program was given by three first grades under the direction of the teachers, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Boose and Mrs. Day. The Jr. Chorus, un der the direction of Miss Craw ford gave the Christmas music The meeting was presided over bv Mrs. E. A. English, the minutes by Mrs. Henry Swaim, and the devotionals by Rev. Jim Bearss. All three first evades were given room prizes for attendance. At the close of the meeting, the Chorus went ' caroling and the mothers of the choir members, served hot chocolate and doughnuts at the Cafeteria on their return. V 1,
