Q I dropped fay GI insur ance right after gutting oat of service in 1945. Why cant I obtain insurance under the new law without having to prove that I either have a service-connected or am not able to obtain cfnmcr cial insurance Ijllsuu. of dis abilities not due to service? A The present reopening of National Smke Life fnsur ance is limited. THe Wgiilstkai enacted by Congress specifical ly limited the purchase of new insurance to those two categor ies. Q I have heard of a num ber of states which authorised j a state bonus for veterans. Why hasn't the Veterans Ad ministration in Wisconsin au thorized such a payment? A The payment of a state bonus is authorised by the in dividual states, and not by the Veterans Administration. It is up to each state to determine whether they will authorize a state bonus for their veter ans: I am a World War I veteran and am receiving pen sion and aid and attendance benefits under the old law in the monthly amount of $135.45 Would I be entitled therefore to medicine and drugs at VA expense? A No. You would be en titled to medicine and drugs at VA expense only if you were receiving aid and attend ance benefits under the new law. Yoa. of course, have the right to elect under the new law. | 3 Plymouth sales are booming! i aaimni Hiir EI JjPli vV Bfffl • Big Trade-in Alnrances! • knmediat* Mojl 1- fk See the Beaiifl'Man at PlyDKNrthfamd!
