Following a reception at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John stone left for a trip to Mon tego Bay Jamacia. After Sep tember 1 they will live at 620 Wandering Lane, Mocksville. Recent visitors at the home of Mrs. E. C. Tatum on Satur day were her sister, Mrs. C. C. Moss and Mr. Moss of Wilson and their daughter, Mrs. Char les Moore and Mr. Moore and daughter, Avery Lee from York, S. C. Spending the day and night on Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tatum and sons, Don and Steve from Tus cumbia, Alabama. Dull Hokhouser Mr. and Mrs. Wade S. Dull of Salisbury Street, Mocksville, have announced the engagement a f their daughter, Jacquelyn Gail, to Leslie Columbus Hoi shouser, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. Leslie C. Hol shouser of Rockwell. The wedding is being planned for September IS at the First Baptist Church, Mocksville. Miss Dull is a graduate of Davie High School, Mocksville, and the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Charlotte. She is presently a registered nurse at the Presbyterian Hospital. Mr. Holshouser is a graduate of East Rowan High School and is a senior at Lenoir Rhyne College, Hickory. Pink and Blue Shower On Friday evening, August 19, at 7:80 P.M., Mrs. Linda Small, Mrs. Sue Wilson, and Miss Jane Wands, entertained at the letter's home on Mar ginal Street, at a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Ward Lowrance of Woodleaf. The henoree was presented with a baby-sock corsage upon her arrival by the hostesses. Af ter games and contests, she was presented with many gifts, after which the guests were invited into the dining room for refreshments. The table was overlaid with a lace cloth, centered with ar rangements of Pink Carna tions, Lillies-of-the Valley and candles in epergnettes. Dain ty sandwiches, mints, salted nuts, party cake squares top ped with baby bootees were enjoyed. Mrs. Grace Moore at Greenville, South Carolina, grandmother of Miss Wnnia, who is visiting here, poured pink punch. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Parker of Bon Air, Va. spent from Sa turday until Tuesday visiting his father, J. N. Parker. On Wednesday they attended the graduation of their son, Joe Parker, from the U. S. Piok and Blue Shower On Saturday evening at 7 P.M. Mm. Tom Beaver, Mrs. Frances Brown, Mis. W. F. Benson and Mrs. Theodore Al exander were hostesses hon oring Mrs. Jerry Cope at a pink and blue shower at the home of Mrs. Jack Cope on Gladstone Road. Various games and contests were play ed and Mrs. William Gales was the winner of the door priae. About twenty - fivt guests presented the honoree with various gifts, after which refreshments were aerved in the dining room, consisting of pink punch, cake squares dec orated with pink bootees, mix ed nuts. The table was cov ered with a white linen cloth overlaid with lace and cen tered with an arrangement of' pink and white carnations, with a stork and baby fig urine, blue bows with streamers and pink candies. Mrs. James Voioson of Voldosta, Ga., who was visiting here, assisted in the serving. Cook-Out for Bridal Couple Mr. and Mrs. Bill Qneal of Mocksville, Route 4, enter tained at a cook-out at their home cn Saturday evening honoring Miss Barbara How ard of Cooleemee and Bob Keller, who are to be mar ried on September 11. Out door games of horse shoe and badmitton was enjoyed by the guests who were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Forrest, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Forrest, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Alien, Larry Wilson, Miss Susie Allen. After the group completed the meal served picnic style, they presented the couple with a kitchen shower of gifts. LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mil holen and children of Rich mond, Va. left Tuesday after spending several days visiting their mothers, Mrs. Bettie Mil holen and Mrs. W. B. Wy rick, Mrs. Louise Creason and son, Mark, left last Tuesday and returned home Sunday after visiting Florida. While there, they visited Mrs. Wy rick's Aunt, Mrs. Mary Long in St. Petersburg, and Mr. Wyrick's uncle O. J. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Barber took their granddaughters Wanda Jean, Karen, Kathleen and Joanie, to Asl.eville where they were to meet friends and accompa ny them home to Pensacola, Florida, after spending the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. James Jor dan and family spent last week at Myrtle Beach. W. A. The group enjoyed a menu of va rious foods. Following the meal, a business meeting was held. This was the first parish supper since the arrival of the new deacon-in-charge and his family, Rev. and Mir Grafton Cockrell. Mrs. Connie Sales, Mrs. Muriel Gude and Grime? Creason spent several days last week at Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Pete Lugwig has re turned home from Davie Co. hospital, to her heme on Mocksville Route Mo. 4, af ter undergoing an appendec tomy.
