MocklvlUe, N C. Spencer A. Walker Spencer Adam Walker, 60, of Mocksville, Rt. 3, suffered a heart attack at his home and died at 2:30 P. M. Monday. He was born in Iredell Coun ty to Robert and Maggie Campbell Walker. He was a lieutenant in the North Carolina State Prison Depart ment, Davie County unit. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Pari Lee Walker, five daugh ters, .Mrs. Shirley Henderson Mrs. James Pharr, Mrs. Jerry Church and Mrs. Larry Sou ther of Statesville, and Mrs. David Green of Mocksville: four sons, John Thomas, Ray mond, James and David Wal ker of the home; and six sis ters, Mrs. Walter Fischer of Hialeah, Fla., Mrs. Mark L. Bush of Charleston, West Va., Mrs. Wayne Weaver of Olin, Mrs. George Grant of Tur nersburg, Miss Lula Walker of Union Grove and Mrs. Ima Holbrook of North Wilk es boro. The funeral was held at 3 P. M. Wednesday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church and burial was in Moss Method ist Church cemetery in Ire j dell County. Mrs. Jacob W. Douthit Mrs. Virginia West Douthit, 90, of Advance, Rt. 1, widow of Jacob W. Douthit, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday in Davie County Hospital. She was born in Davie County to Anderson and Amanda Miller West. She was a member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church. Surviving are an adopted son, Henry S. Douthit of Ad vance, Rt. 1, and two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Hauser of Mar shall-town, lowa. The funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Yadkin Valley Bap tist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. A. G.Etheridge Of Woodleaf Augustus Guy Etheridge, 68 of Woodleaf died Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the Rowan Memo rial Hospital. He been in failing health for three and a half years. Born Sept. 7, 1896 in Dare gwwnty, he was the son of Mrs. My Johnson Etheridge and the late Adam D. Etheridge.
