Marshall Duke Pope, 74, a
dairy farmer of Mocksville,
Route 1 died at 10:40 A. M
Monday at his home. He was
president of the Davie Coun
ty Farm Bureau and a mem
ber of Eaton's Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Minnie White Pope; two sons,
Roadman Pope of Mocksville,
Route 2, and John Henry
Pope of Minneapolis, Minn.;
and two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd
R Brown of Norfolk, Va. and
Mrs. Robert Shaw of Stan
ford, Conn.
The funeral was at 2 P.M.
Wednesday at Eaton's Baptist
Church. Burial was in the
church cemetery.
