Sunday School Class Has Party The members of the Ladies Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church held their Christmas meeting at the home of Mrs. Martha Nesbit on Wednesday night. Those at tending were Mrs. Mildred Smith, teacher, Mrs. Kathy Spargo, Mrs. Hazel Spake, Mrs. Margie Milholen, Mrs. Ruth Wilk ins and Mrs. Marvin Chappell. After a social hour, the group enjoyed refresh ments of ice box cake and coffee. Christmas decorations adorned the home. iif' **» pwcafoys jYuie .Party The Marjoria Bennett Cir cle of Cooleemee Baptist Church, held their Christinas Party at the dining room of the U-Stop-N Grill. There was a large crowd present and after » short program a de licious supper was served and gifts were exchanged. Mrs. Lillian Trexler brought cho colate pound cake which was served for dessert with cof fee. The next meeting will be at the church the second Saturday night in January. Cobel Sisters Annual Party The former Cobel sisters of Stanley and Davie County met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ijames of Pine Ridge Road on Wednesday, Decem ber 8, for their annual Christ mas party. They told of the "good ole days"; and past ex periences. Christmas music was furnished by Henry MMM WIT* fl b DOLLIE MAJUE PHELPS Phelps - Lankford Mr. and Mrs. Odell C. Phelps of Route 1, Cleve land, have announced the engagement of their daugh ter, Dollie Marie, to Bobby Dean Lankford, son of Albert Lankford of Cooleemee and the late Mrs. Lankford. The wedding is being planned for December 23 at Corinth Church of Christ. Ronnie Ulrey will offici ate at the ceremony. Miss Phelps is a senior at West Rowan High School. Mr. Lankford attended Davie County High School and is employed at the American Moistening Company, Cleveland. I Daniel, a brother-in-law. They exchanged gifts, had a dinner and then good byes were said.
