Rhonda and Frances Webb spent Easter at Myrtle Beach, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Webb and baby have moved from Junction Road to 13 Grove Street, Cooleemee. During the Easter holidays, those visiting Mr. and Mr*-. Raymond House were all of their children and grandchil dren except a granddaughter, Melinda Cauble of Salisbury. Others visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Buster Flemings and chil dren, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Holshouser of Salisbury, and Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Brogdon and children of Lexington. Miss Elaine Melton of Lex ington spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Melton. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pierce spent the holidays visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Pierce at Lynchburg, Va. The Reverend and Mrs. Grafton Cockrell and sons left Thursday to spend a week in Huntington, West Virginia visiting his sister. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Nichols and children, Donald, Janet. Gary and Sharon of Ephesus went to Carolina Beach over the Easter holidays to open their cottage for the season. It's much easier to spend money than to make it. Mrs. P. W. Hendrix Mrs. Louise Norman Hen drix, 43, of MocksviUe, wife of Peter W. Hendrix, died at 3P. M. Monday at Davie County Hospital after an ill ness of two days. She was born in Mount Airy to Caleb F. and Daisy Wilkes Norman. Surviving are two sons, Mi chael Norman Hendrix of the home and Paul Stewart Jr. of Rural Hall, Rt. 1; four sisters, Mrs. W. S. Pinnix of Wins ton - Salem, Mrs. Fred Cook and Mrs. Pauline Wall of Rural Hall, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Vester Inman of Wanut Cove, Rt. 1. a brother, Douglas Nor man of Rural Hall. Rt. 2, and her mother, of Rural Hall, Rt. 1. The funeral was at 2:30 P. M. Thursday at Fork Bap tist Church in Davie County. Burial was in the church ce metery. Mrs. Harpe, Davie County MOCKSVILLE—Mrs. Bettie Collette Harpe, 83, of Mocks ville, Rt. 2, died at 12:15 Wed nesday morning at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She suf fered a heart attack Tuesday morning. Born in Davie County May 22, 1882, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Elizabeth Ijames Collette She was married to Enos W. Harpe, who died in Sept., 1965. Survivors include five daugh ters, Mrs. W. O. Hampton, Mrs. Roy O. Kiger, and Mrs. R. B. Hicks, all of Winston-Salem, Mrs. P. E. Miller of Independ ence, Mo., and Mrs. C. L. Wertz of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; five sons. Burton Harpe, M. W. Harpe and Wilson Harpe, all of Winston-Salem. Paul Harpe of Rt. 1, Mocksville, and Joe C. Harpe of Rt. 2, Mocksivlle; one sister, Mrs. Cleo Davis of Ra leigh. Funeral services will be con ducted Friday at 2 o'clock at Eaton's Baptist Church by the Rev. B. C. McMurray and the Rev. H. W. The daily schedule during the workshop will include a study of the nature of men. tal retardation and the use of curriculum materials spe cially prepared for workers with the mentally retarded. Observation in a laboratory classroom will be a special feature of the workshops.
