Conference For Ministers At Wake Forest WINSTON - SALEM -The third annual summer confer ence for ministers will be held July 24-28 on the Wake Forest University campus. The conference provides a week of study, worship and fellowship, with emphasis on a preaching workshop and lec ture in fields related to the needs and opportunities of the church today. L. L. Hollingsworth, college chaplain, will be conference director. McAllister announce the marriage of their daugh ter, Mary Kirk, of Charlotte, N. C. to Mr. I. Mann ing Huske, also of Charlotte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac H. Huske of Cooleemee, N. C. The ceremony was performed on April 21. Mrs. Huske attended Peace College, Raleigh, N. C. and the Pan-American School, Richmond, Va. She was a member of the Spinster's Club of Charlotte, N. C. and is employed by Eastern Air Lines, Inc. Mr. Huske was graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was a member of Chi Phi fraternity, and is associated with the Hartford Insurance Group in Charlotte. Conferences during the past two summers have attracted 35 to 40 persons. Those attending pay a small registration fee and provide their own meals. Ray Lewis from Carra bus, North Carolina was guest speaker at the evening wor ship service. Rev. Mr. Ray Lewis preached a very timely message concerning pentecost and the effect it has on todays churches. May the 23rd the Reverend Mrs. M. Davis who first or ganized the North Cooleemee Church of God was the guest speaker; although retired now from the active ministry; the hearts of the people were im pressed with her words of comfort, as she preached 'Be hold The Man Jesus". May the 30th the Reverend L. S. Cooper pastor of the Church of God at Denton, North Carolina will be the visiting speaker. Remember the services begin each eve ning at 7:00 P. M. Sunday June the 4th at the Davie Acd, community grounds the North Cooleemee Cnurch of God wili have a special dinner on the grounds and an afternoon gospel singing. Rev. Mrs. Dorothy Everhart of Lexington will also be with JS to sing "Ten Thousand An gels" and the Hubert family, and other singers also. Dinner will be served at 2:00 P.M. followed by a religious serv ice. A car train will leave the church at 1:30 P. M. for those who don't know the way. Sunday the 11th of June the Rev. W. G.
