H. McMahan of tbe Pine Community really ribbed the girls In the Cootoemee Drug Store about making sandwiches out of dripped tomatoes. Believe it or not, but Mr. McMahan 4s still eating fresh tomatoes that came off the first vines he fJntmi Inst soring. His he puHed the green tomatoes before the frost killed them and stored them on tbe garage floor. There was enough filaffcon for §» tomatoes to ripen slowly, but net cokl enough for them to freeze.
