■ kA % *■■■!, M§jk. 9L * %A Bill McKay Registers At UNC-CH William R. McKay, son of the Rev. and Mrs. S. L. McKay of 60 Watt Street, has just com pleted a day-long pre-registra tion session at the University of North Carolina. During pre-registratian, students take placement tests, prepare their course of study, and familiarize themselves with the campus. It is co-sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the General College. The University of North Carolina is the nation's first state university, chartered in 1789 and open to students in 1795. The cornerstone of Old East, the University's oldest buiMing and now a national shrine, was laid in 1793. Ihe University is composed of 14 colleges and schools and more than 70 departments. The student body enrollment is ex pected to exceed 16,000 in the fall 2400 of these are freshmen and 900 are transfer students. There are nearly 1500 faculty members. Dale F. Cozart Is In Vietnam U. S. Air Force Sergeant Dale F. Cozart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie F. Cozart of 969 Mun ford Drive, Modcsville, is on duty at Phan Rang AB, Viet nam. Sergeant Cozart, an aircraft loadmaster, is assigned to a unit of the Pacific Air Forces. He previously served at Robins AFB, Ga.
