Help Is On The Way
For Telephone Plagued
Residents Of Cooleemee
The best way of commu
nicating and the quickest—by
telephone.
Lately this has been a matter
of opinion arousdhere.
But it coiAt fee that help is on
the way. •
District manager, A. C. Tysi
nger's letter to the telephone
customers, in last weeks Jour
nal sounded great.
He informed us that we have
not been deserted and that an
"outstanding installer-repair
man", Mr. Herman Ford, has
been hired full time to serve the
Cooleemee area.
Mr. Tysinger further stated
that a construction engineer
had spent four days here plan
ning new lines and facilities.
For this informative letter
and Mr. Herman Ford, we are
appreciative.
We are not an ungrateful
people and our demands are not
. unreasonable. We only expect
the service and consideration of
other customers and to be in
formed is always appreciated.
We realize that due to the
distance between Cooleemee
and the district office in Marion.
problems will arise. But then,
problems are made to be solved.
Now we are anxiously waiting
to see these future plans become
a reality.
In talking with Mr. Tysinger
last week, he commented on the
future plans for improving our
telephone service, which will
include a new central office and
equipment and new cable.
This is needed desperately
Davie Queen Is All Smiles
and we only hope to see these
improvements in the very near
future.
It will be rough-sledding for a
while for the new installer re
pairman. due to the accumu
lated troubles and. no doubt,
he'll surely earn his salary. But
we. the Cooleemee people, are
ready to be shown some type of
improvements, and with Mr.
Ford here permanently is a
good step in the right direction.

Serviceman

(284-8200) to report any type of
telephone service needed.

the office. Continue paying your
bills through Central Carolina

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ferebee of Center

about later because Davie won the game,
