Deaths And Mrs. Wagoner, Davie County MOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Stella Wofford Wagoner, 71, of Mock sville, Rt. 4, died at 6:40 Frid night at her home. Death was unexpected, resulting from a heart attack. Born in Davie County July 27, 1897, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Jane Lagle Wofford. She was a mem ber of Turnetine Baptist Church. Survivors include five daugh ters, Mrs. Helen Ratledge of Woodleaf, Mrs. Dorothy McDaniel of Mocksville, Rt. 3, Mrs. Nora Mae Bailey of Om aha, Neb., Miss Geraldine Wagoner of the home, and Mrs. Barbara Jean Ijames of Mock sville, Rt. 4; four sons, James, Buddy, "larvin, and George Wagoner .»11 of Mocksville. Rt. 4 N. L. Hendrix Real Estate Developer Noah Lester Hendrix, 64, of Rt. 9. Salisbury, who developed Hendrix Estate, died Saturday at 10 p.m. at the Rowan County Hospital He had been in declining health for five months and seriously ill for six weeks. He was born Sept. 28, 1905, in Davie County, the son of Mrs Fannie Myers Hendrix of Rt. 9, Salisbury, and the late D L. Hendrix A graduate of Church land High School and N. C. State University in 1928. he was an agricultural teacher in Iredell and Davie counties and farm agent in Richmond County. Mr. Hendrix was an active member of Enon Baptist Church Also surviving are his wife, Mrs. Juanita Correll Hendrix; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey Horn of Raleigh; two brothers, Hoyle A. Hendrix of Greenville and Rob ert L. Hendrix of Raleigh: three sisters, Mrs. R. C. Lippard of Geveland, Mrs. Raymond W. Poteat and Mrs. Gara H. Mrs. Woffard Of Lexington MOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Lila Hellard Woffard, 67, of Lexing ton, formerly of Cooleemee, died Sunday at Lexington Me morial Hospital- Mrs. Wofford was born Sept. 11, 1902, in Davie County, tne daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Ridenhour Hellard. Surviving are a son, Ray mond Wofford of Lexington; four sisters, Mrs. Odell James of Rt. 4, Mocksville, Mrs. Alma Snead of Cooleemee, Mrs. Ma bel Hancock of Durham, and Mrs. Mary Ling King of Phoe nix, Arizona; and a brother, Monroe Hellard of Cooleemee. Jacob Sheek, 87, t. Rt. 1, Advance MOCKSVILLE - Jacob Hall Sheek, 87. of Rt. 1, Advance died at his home Thursday morning. He was a retired farmer and the son of the late Jacob T. and Mary Jane Hall Sheek. He was a member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow, Evola S. Sheek; two sons, Jason and Bob Sheek, both of Rt. l. Advance; one brother, John D. Sheek of Rt. 1, Advance; one grandson. Harold Sheek. Booklets Distributed The soil conservation booklets, "Dennis the Menace and Dirt" arc being placed in all seventh grades in Davie County and also three Biology classes of the High School during the month of March. Each student is to receive one of the illustrated booklets as an aid in their classroom study of conservation. Orion Click and Kenneth Gil lean were in Raleigh the latter part of last week on business. E. L. Ervin is a patient at Rowan Memorial Hospital. At this time, he is reported to be very sick. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Painter and Ricky of Chattanooga, Tenn. were here over the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Painter. They came for the funeral of Mrs. Painter's aunt, Mrs. J. M. Gupton of Salisbury.
