To Meet Thursday Atßec.Center
The Board of Directors of the
Cooleemee Industrial Devel
opment Association has called a
meeting of all members of the
association for Thursday night,
March 19, at the Recreation
Center here. The meeting is
scheduled to get under way at
7:30 p.m. Letters have also been
sent to all members informing
them of the meeting and urging
them to attend.
This meeting is being held for
members of the association only

Of Mental Health Board
Elizabeth (Lib) Anderson,
candidate for Davie County
Board of Education, has been a
resident of Davie County for
thirteen years. She is a charter
member of the Davie County
Association for Retarded Chil
dren and was the first president
of this organization. She is also
a member of the Davie County
Mental Health Advisory Board.
In addition to her work for
retarded children in this county,
she is a director for the David
son County Sheltered Workshop
for the Handicapped.
Mrs. Anderson has been in
strumental in organizing many
new and educational activities
for handicapped children.
These activities have included
providing recreation in the sum
mer months, and she accom
panied the first group of chil
dren to a summer camp at
Crossnore. She has also worked
as a scout leader.
Prior to coming to Davie
County, Mrs. Anderson lived

and not for the entire town as
reported in last Wednesday's
Salisbury Post.
At this time, the board of
directors will present their pro
posal "to seriously consider the
incorporation of Cooleemee". If
the proposal is approved by the
association, a town meeting will
be called in the very near future
to be held in the Cooleemee
School auditorium.
The board members will
make every effort to have ex

sewage here. Bob Hoyle, associ
ation president said, "There is
no basis to this at all." He
further commented that there
has been no indication what
soever as to this happening
here.
The CIDA is planning to keep
the towns people fully informed
as to the results of Thursdays
meeting and notified as to the
date of the upcoming commu
nity-wide meeting.
