The town meeting, open for
discussion on the advantages
and disadvantages of in
corporation, is set far Thur
sday, April 23 at the Cooleemee
School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
There has been a great deal of
discussion, both for and against
incorporation of the town of
Cooleemee, by the citizens
recently. Every citizen should
make every effort possible to
attend this meeting and hopeful
ly they will find tne answers to
many questions that could not
have been properly answered
prior to this meeting.
A panel of qualified men in all
related fields will be present
and should be able to answer
most of the questions the people
have at this time.
Every individual especially
those living within the tempora
ry boundaries, should attend
this meeting to obtain as many
facts as possible, before voting.

Saturday Last Chance
Davie County voter registra
tion books will be open Satur
day, April 18, for the purpose of
registering those voters not
heretofore registered. This will
be the last chance to register
before the May 2, primary.
Dr. R. F. Kemp, Chairman of
the Davie County Board of Elec
tions, said that the registrar of
the various county precincts
will be at the precinct voting
place on Saturday from 9 a.m.
to 6 p.m.
Saturday, April 2Sth, will be
challenge day.
There will be three separate
elections in Davie County on
May 2nd. A Democratic Prima
ry vote; a Republican Primary
vote; and a vote for members of

The Cooleemee Jaycettes will
have a Rummage Pick-Up on
Wednesday Aprils* beginning
at S p.m. Anyone wishing to
discard used pots, pans, dishes,
silverware, clothing and small
appliances are asked to put
them on the outside porch or in a
party affiliation, may vote in
the non-partisan board of edu
cation election.
All citizens who have not yet
registered, are urged to do so in
order to exercise your rights to
vote in the upcoming election

Rescue Squad
Sets Fish Fry
The Davie County Rescue
Squad will hold a Fish Fry on
Saturday, April 18, at the Res
cue Squad Building on the Coun
ty Home Road, Mocksville.
Hie menu will consist of fresh
flounder with all the trimmings.
Take out orders will also be
filled. Serving will begin at
11:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Proceeds will go towards the
building fund and for new
equipment.
Ralph Mottinger
Completes Basic
Airman Ralph W. Mottinger,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C.
Mottinger of Rt . 2, Mocksville,
N.C., has completed basic train
ing at Lackland AFB, Tex. He
has been assigned to Sheppard
AFB, Tex., for training in the
transportation field. Airman
Mottinger is a 1969 graduate of
T. L. Hanna High School, An
derson, S.C.
