Davie Plays Host
To Mooresville Friday
Davie County's baseball team
will play host to Mooresville this
Friday at the Mocksville dia
mond.
The Rebels will be relying on
either John McDaniel or Paul
I james to pitch against the Blue
Devils. I james hurled a one
hitter at North Stanly last week,
and he could be tough for the
Rebs for the remainder of the
year.
Randy McDaniel and Craig
Ward each collected three hits
to lead Davie's 16-hit assault on
three North Stanly pitchers.
The Rebs scored in each of the
first five innings to wrap up the
decision early. In the first

McDaniel singled and moved to
second on Ward's sacrifice.
Harold Latham got a base hit to
plate McDaniel. Arny Riddle's
base hit sewed Latham. Fresh
man Robert Anderson was on
by an error, and he came home
on a hit by Paul Beaver.
In the second Ward singled
and scored on a triple by Dan
Correll I james' doubled in
Beaver in the third and sewed
on a hit by Ward. Anderson's
single plated Correll in the
fourth, and Ijames tripled and
scored on a wild pitch in the
fifth.
