Oscar Booe Of Cooleemee COOLEEMEE Oscar Dob son Booe, 87, of Cooleemee died Friday at 10:30 p.m. at Jo Lene's Nursing Home in Salis bury. He was born Oct. 12, 1882, in Davie County, the son of the late George Judson and Amanda White Booe. He was a member of Cooleemee United Methodist Church and a charter member of the POS of A and the Redman Lodge. Surviving are three daugh ters, Mrs. Jason Bost and Mrs. Charles Honeycutt, both of Salisbury, and Mrs. Raymond Pierce of Cooleemee; two sons, Wade and Paul Booe, both of Cooleemee; a brother, Shober W. Booe of Concord; six grand children; and five great-grand children. Kurfees Funeral Set Saturday MOCKSVILLE Funeral services for Robert Orrell Kur fees, 51, of Rt. 4, Mocksville, were conducted Saturday at 4 p.m. at Hardison United Methodist Church by the Rev. Benny Bearden. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Kurfees was killed in an automobile accident Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Kurfees was born April 3, 1919, in Davie County, the son of the late D. C. and Carrie Orrell Kurfees. A veteran of World War 11, he was employed at the VA Hospital in Salisbury. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Allen Kurfees; two daughters, Mrs. Jack R. Harris of Mocksville and Mrs. Arthur Drake of Winston-Salem; a son, Robert Kurfees Jr. of RL 4, Mocksville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Havelock and Mrs. Durk Lamont of Levit town, Pa.; and two brothers, D. He was ban Oct 21, 1899, in Commerce, Ga., the son of the lste Albert and Cassie Gideon Hanprave. Educated in Frank lin County schools, he was last employed at Parrish Bakeries. Mr. Hargrave was a member of Ervin Temple Church, where be was chairman of the trustee board and a member of the steward board. He was secre tary of the church for 25 years and a member of the Golden Age Club. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Mayfield Hargrave; three sons, Cornelius Hargrave of Cooleemee, Ernest Hargrave of the home, and Alton Har grave of the U. S.
