No Charges,
No Injuries
In Accident
No charges were filed as a
result of an accident on Tues
day, May 13, on Highway 801 in
front of the Cooleemee Shopping
Center.
Oscar Lee Wyrick of 37 Main
St. was involved in a two car
collision with Melvin Lee Waller
0fßt.4, Mocksville.
Wyrick, traveling north on
highway 801 in his 1966 Pontiac,
slowed his vehicle to make a
left-hand turn into the shopping
center. Mr. Waller, who was
driving a 1961 Ford, pulled out
to pass the Wyrick vehicle and
collided with it.
Mr. Waller's car was dam
aged approximately $240 on the
right side, and Mr. Wyrick's
vehicle incurred damages of
approximately $220.
Neither driver was injured.
Homemakers
Hold Meeting
The Cooleemee Homemakers
Club held their regular meeting
on Friday night, May 15, at the
Recreation Center.
Following the business meet
ing, Mrs. West, County agent,
presented a program on deserts
to the 14 ladies present.
Mrs. Mary Gales was wel
comed as a new member into
the club.
Mrs. Mabel Head, hostess,
served delicious refreshments.
Games were played during the
social hour and several ladies
won prizes.
The next meeting will be at
the home of Mrs. Tullie Grimes
on June 19.
