Festivities will get underway at II a.m. There will be a series of field events, including: Gressy pole contest, greasy pig, sack race, 3 legged race, tug-o-war, and others. Prises will be given to the winners of each age group. Prises may also be won by playing Bingo, Soft Ball Toss, Fishing, Darts, and other games. There will be pony rides for the kiddies again this year. Tickets are now on sals for a bicycle that will be given away st ft p.m. and may be purchased for 25 cents from any local Jayeee or (ran the Cooleemee Drug Fun On The Monkeybars UM lOCmh / Company or Cootoemee Supermarket. The winner will have a choice of dther a girls or boys' bike. Plans are also underway for the possibility of a ballgame. Definite plans will be announced during the festivities. The Jaycettes will also conduct a Bake Sale. Plan to support them and buy your dessert for the weekend. The concession stand will be open all day and it was announced that they may have topless waiters. Admittance will beg cents far all children under U years of age, SO cents for all over 12 and adults. Physical Fitness Program To Begin The Physkal Fitnessprogram for boys will begin Thursday, July 2, at 6 p.m. at the Davie County High School. Betty Jo Connell Receives Diploma Mrs. Betty Jo Connell of Davie Street completed the necessary requirements in June for ob taining her high school diploma from the Davie County Division of Rowan Technical Institute at Mocksville Elementary School. There has been an average of one person per month to receive their diplomas from the Davie GountyDivision this yoar.
