2 CCB Officers Receive Promotions Four Central Carolina Bank officers have been named to new posts as area vice presidents, E. W. Beck, Jr., CBS senior vice president, said today. Hie officers are Charles F. Bahnson of Mocksville, who will head up the bank's operations in its Western area; Glendel Stephenson of Mebane, who will be responsible for the Southern sector; James I. Carey of Oxford, who will have responsibility for the North; and Robert A. Snow of Wake Forest, who will furnish leadership for the bank's Eastern area. Bahnson is a veteran of thirty five years service with Central Carolina Bank. He entered the employ of the bank as a teller at Cooleemee, later became manager of the Cooleemee Office, and has recently supervised operations at both Cooleemee and Mocksville. Bahnson's new post will also include responsibility for the bank's offices at Denton and Yadkinville. Stephenson, a native of Ervin, joined the old Bank of Harnett in 1954, following his graduation from UNC. He rose to assistant manager of the Erwin Office, and in 1963 was named Mebane manager, a post which he will continue to fill. He will now be additionally responsible for Apex, Ervin, Hillsborough, Moncure and Pittsboro. Carey, born in Virginia had served as an officer of two Virginia banks and another Oxford bank when he joined CCB in 1968. He was active in the establishment and organization of Central Carolina's Oxford Office, which he will continue to head. His new duties will carry respon sibility for CCB's operations in Butner, Creedmoor, and Roxboro. Snow was employed as branch manager for some years at the Bank of Elkin. He came to Central Carolina Bank in 1963 to manage its Wake Forest Office, and will continue to serve in this capacity, as well as that of area vice president, with responsibility for Rolesville and Youngsville. Commenting on the new appointments, Back said that the growth of Central Carolina Bank in the last five years had made necessary a realignment of responsibility, and a greater delegation of authority.
