HENRY WARREN RIDGE, JR. .... was Freida Lynn Foster Cooleemee Personals Mrs. Nell Lagle, Son Return Home From Rhode Island Trip MRS. NELL LAGLE and son, Gene, returned home Monday, after spending the week with her sister, Alice, and Phillip Belton of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. While there they visited their brother, Claude and fami ly of Plottsburg, New York. They also visited Ausable Chasm and traveled to Mon treal, Canada. ALICE AND PHILLIP BEL TON returned with Mrs. Lagle and Gene to spend a few days with their mother Mrs. Nettie Clawson of High Point. AIRMAN MICKEY BLACK WOOD, U.S. Air Force, Lowery Air Force Base, Col. returned Tuesday, Aug. 4th to Egland Air Force Base, La. after spend ing two weeks leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blackwood. MR. AND MRS. TOMMY RI DENHOUR accompanied their son, Terry, to East Carolina University last week for a three day orientation. Tory will enter school thereon September Bth. JIMMY RIDENHOUR and David Wilkins spent the week end at Myrtle Beach, S.C. MR. AND MRS. 808 DAVIS and Dianna and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Foster and family spent the weekend in Atlanta, Georgia where they attended the Stock Car Races on Sunday. They also planned to tour fix Flags Over „ Georgia and other attractions before the Davises returned home on Monday. Hie Fosters planned to stay a couple of days . with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Foster before returning home. MR. AND MRS. 808 HAYES and children, Bobby Jr. and Tracy, of Dillon, S.C. spent Sun day here visiting friends, while enroute to Greensboro to spend this week with relatives. Bobby Jr. was the overnight guest of Ronald Webb and Tracy spent the night with Traci Benson. *niey returned with their father on Monday afternoon. The Hay eses, formerly of Cooleemee, plan to tour the mountains of N.C. and Virginia before return ing to Dillon this weekend. MISS MARY JACKSON, Salisbury, and Mrs. Harvey v and grandchildren of Faith were the Sunday after noon guests of Mabel Head. MR. AND MRS. WADE BECK and son, Joe, Mrs. Pat Karnes, and son Mike, Mac Hunter, and Mrs. Betty Beck spent the weekend vacationing at Crescent Beach, S.C. MR. NORMAN (HOOT) CA NUPP of Salisbury, formerly of Cooleemee, remains a patient at Rowan Memorial Hospital after undergoing major surgery last week. He is much improved. MR JAY SMITH of Route 1, Harmony, returned home Fri day from the Davie County Hospital where he had under gone treatment last week. He is improving. MR. AND MRS. J. W. BAME of Greenville, S.C. spent Sunday visiting relatives here. Miss Freida Lynn Foster and Henry Warren Ridge Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Warren Ridge of Mocksville were mar ried Sunday, August 2, at the First Baptist Church in Cool eemee. "Hie Reverend Charles Bull ock of the First Baptist Church, Mocksville, officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony. Hie bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd (Sonny) Foster of Center Street, Cooleemee was given in marriage by her fa ther. She wore a floor length gown of satin peau-de-soie with a matching train caught up by a bow at the waist covered with lace and pearl appliques. Her elbow length veil of silk illusion fell from petals of lace and pearls. Mrs. Lynn Hopkins of Salis bury attended as matron of honor. Miss Glenna Holt, Miss Ann Foster, Miss Sharon Fos ter, sister of the bride, of Cool eemee, Mrs. Billy Spillman of Farmington were bridesmaids. Steve Foster, brother of the bride, was ring bearer. TYie bridegroom had Ralph Naylor as his best man. Doug Wall, Frank Short, Jr. Mike Hendrix, and Robert Ridge, brother of the bridegroom, all of Mocksville ushered. After a wedding trip to the coast, the couple will temporar ily reside on Route 4, Mocks ville. Mrs. Ridge is a graduate of Davie High School and attended Appalachian State University. She is presently employed in the shipping office with Bluemont Knitting Mills, Mocksville. Mr. Ridge is employed with Ingersoll-Rand Company, Mocksville. He also attended Davie High School and will enter Virginia Computer Col lege in the fall. MELANIE SPAKE of Deca tur, Georgia spent the weekend here with her grandmother, Mrs. Lessie Black ville. H. M. JACOBS of Carroll ton, Georgia spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Her bert Jacobs. MR. AND MRS. JAMES IJ AMES and family of Clifton Forge, Virginia were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Carter and Mr. John Ijames. They were enroute to Myrtle Beach for a weeks vacation. MR. AND MRS. WINK HAS TY and children, Chip and Christy of Erwin were the week end guests of ho- parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Sheek Bowden and family have returned to their home in Mocksville after spending last week vacationing at Cherry Grove Beach. Mickey Stout of Edgewood Circle, Cooleemee accompanied them.
