2 —Cool—maa Journal, Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1970 Soil, Water Supervisor To Be Elected An election will be held in Davie County on December 4, 1970, to elect one supervisor for the Davie Soil and Water Conservation District for a three-year term beginning January 4, 1971. All qualified voters residing in the county will be eligible to vote in this elec tion. Candidates for this office are Brady Angell, Route 5, Mocksville, N.C. and Richard Brock, Route 2, Mocksville, N.C. Alpha Delta Kappa Meets The Davie County Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa met with Mrs. Kate Foster at her home on Route 4, on November 24th. The group heard from Helen Crenshaw and Ann Barnhardt about their trip to Eden to the state executive convention. Mrs. Foster presented the program on the subject of Arts and Crafts for Christmas. She showed the group many lovely things she has done this year and in years past. She gave directions, including a printed booklet, for making the articles she displayed. Refreshments were served to Ann Barnhardt, Helen Cren shaw, Helen Everhart, Mary Wall Sexton, Nell Hayes, Ruth Short, and Margaret Conger. Ho me makers Meet The Cooleemee Homemakers held their regular meeting on Friday, November 20, at the home of Miss Frances Ijames of Pine Ridge. Mrs. Octave West presented a most interesting program to the eleven ladies present. The Hostess served delicious refreshments at the close of the meeting. The next meeting will be a Christmas Party on Saturday, December 19th with Mrs. Alice Gabbert at her home on Center Street Extention.
