Pressisg Public Problems: Who is supposed to obey the traffic regu lations in Farmville? Nearly every person, who breaks into the press, is afraid of some thing besides bis own ignorance. "FEARFUL OF WAR." We see that a prominent religious leader "is fearful of war." The American people, we believe, are also fearful of war, but not because of any suspicion that their own government is anxious to be come embroiled in a conflict. .We know the danger of war to this country originates in the policies which are followed by Germany, Italy and Japan. There are some Americans who seek to spread the idea that "secret manoeuvers behind the scenes of Government" are drawing us nearer and nearer to war. For some strange reason, they do not express any sus picion that secret manoeuvers in Germany and Italy draw us nearer and nearer to war. In fact, we are unable to under stand the Americanism of an in dividual who is always proclaiming that the United States is engaged in some kind of enterprise to get into war, especially when the individual soft-pedals his denunciation of total itarianism which meances the civili zation of free peoples. j i i FOUNTAIN NEWS (Br MRS.
