This progressive step is being con sidered in view of the town's plaM for future expansion in industrial en terprises and home construction and as a precautionary measure against objectionable business stands being placed near residential properties. Berry Taylor, who hsa been un dergoing treatment in a Veterans hospital at Roanoke, Vs., for several months, has returned to his home here and was able this week to re sume his duties as Superintendent of. the Street Department. Ben Ganhur, who has served well in a supply capacity, during Mr. Taylor's ab> sence, has resigned. Mr. Taylor, who is receiving a warm welcome from every side from his. many friends as he proceeds on his inspection rounds, has served the town in one of its most important branches in a very efficient maimer for the past 17 years and his deep interest and tireless efforts have been of in estimable value in mnlriwg Farmville a healthy and attractive place in which to live.
