Methodist The WorrfXn'g Society of Christian Service was presided 'over by the president, Mrs. A, W. Bobbitt, at its regular monthly meeting Monday afternoon in the church. The program opened with soft music played by Mrs. B. 0. Tumage. Mrs. E. R. Clegg gave the devotional using as her subject, "Peace, Per fect Peace" Through Personal Evan gelism. Verses of the hymn, "Jesus Calls Us" were used as a response in the meditation. The study topic, "Evangelism, A Strategem of Peace," was developed by Mrs. J. H. Harris. Mrs. Clegg reported on the Zone meeting held recently st Home's Church near Elm City and this Dis trict Wesleyan Guild Conference in Pinetops. The local church will be host to both of these groups in the fall. It was announced that Mrs. E. C. Carr has sentr one box of clothing materials for children of Greece and has some on lprnd for a second box. Members not having contributed who wish to do so may take their bundle to Mrs. Carr right away. The Society made plans to serve light refresh ments at Vacation Bible School. Following custom, the Society will meet at 4 o'clock in July, August and September. The Worker's Council held'a busi ness meeting in the church Monday Evening with L. E. Walston presid ing.
