Goin were hostesses at a "social oof fee" hour Friday afternoon, Nov. 14, honoring Miss Sarah Cook, bride elect of Satuaday, The Goin heme was attractively decorated with arrangements of white and yellow chrysanthemums. Guests wei)e greeted at the door by Miss Alyce Goin, and introduced to Miss Cook . Mesdames Winstead and Goin invited them into the living room where they served coffee, wed ding cake, sandwiches, nuts and mints. They were, assisted in serv ing by Miss Elma Chambliss. The honoree was presented with a corsage of white carnation, and cry atal in her chosen pattern. Among the out-of-town were Rev. end Mrs. Joeeph Cook of Sylvester, Ga., parents of the bride elect. Around 26 guests called and regis tered during the afternoon: . ? GOIN-COOK WEDDING Miss Sarah Cook, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Joeeph Cook of Sylvester, Ga., became the bride of Mr. William E. Goin, son of Mrs. Fannie F. Goin. in a ceremony solemnised at the Walstonburg teacherage, Saturday evening, November 15, at 8 o'clock. Xhe single ring ceremony was used and Rev. Cook, father of the bride, officiated. ? Wedding music was rendered by Mies Mary Irma Rives, pianist, and, Miss Ruby Burch, soloist ? Mr. Joseph H. Goin was his broth er's best num. The bride's saly attendant was| Miss Alyee qoin, sister of^the bride groom. She wore ? grey salt and black accessories and a corsage of rod roees. The bride and bridegroom entered the living room together. The bride chose for her wedding a black velvet dress, Mack' accessories, and carried | a white prayer book topped with white satin ribbon and streamers. Her only ornament was a string of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom. William Whitley of Winston-Salem spent the week end here with his pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. J .S. Whitley. Miss Rayomell Bailey of Princeton high school faculty spent the week end at her home here. Friends will regret to leam that Mr. A. R. Gay has been ill here for several days. Mi? Ola Grace Gardner and Leon ard Mann of A. C. C., Wilson, spent the week end at their respective homes here. An amateur program will be held in the auditorium of the Walston burg school Friday night at 7:48. It will be sponsored by the Woman s Missionary sojaety.
