ers' meeting at Greenville on Fri
day, Dec. 5.
J. P. Davenport of Pactolus and
Jesse L. Tripp of Ayden, Route 1,
were elected directors by the stock
holders. ?Tohn R. Carroll, president,
presided over tne meeting and Jesse
L. Tripp gave the report for the
Bopnd of Directors.
Secretary-Treasurer F. L. Little,
Jr., reported that the association had
made 773 loans totaling $1,^36,800
and that reserves in the amount of
884,009.16 had been built up to pro
tect the members' investment.
Director D. F. Hardison made a
talk concerning future plans for the
association.
S. C. I-attimore, vice president of
the Production Credit Corporation
and Federal Land Bank of Coluijir
bia, gave an informative and inter
esting address at this meeting. He
congratulated the membership on the
progress made by the Greenville As
sociation and the servjeo that it has
rendered to farmers in Pitt and
Greene counties.
He encouraged the stockholders to
continue supporting the PCA and
pointed out the need for the (-services
of the farmer-owned organisation in
the future.
In addition to. the stockholders, 20
guests were in, attendance.
