BRIDGETHBS AND N.B.C. . ENTERTAIN AT BRIDGE AND CANASTA TOURNAMENT The Bridgetbe* with Mrs. Tommy Lang, hostess, and the Night Bridge Club with Mrs. M. L. Eason, Jr„ as hostess were entertained at the Jun ior Woman’s Club Bridge and Canas ta Tournament, at the hut on last Thursday night. Prizes for the Bridgettes went to Mrs. Dewey Fuquay, high, a Bean Bay ash tray, and low, to Mrs. Leroy Bass, a linen handkerchief. Mrs. Harold Rouse, a guest, was- remem bered with a sewing kit. The Night Bridge Club members winning prizes were Mrs. Curtis Flanagan, high, and Mrs. Bill. Cand ler, low. Tournament winners in Bridge were: ladies, Mrs. Frank Davis, Jr., who was given earrings; men’s, Critz Hillard, a bill clasp. Canasta win ners were: ladies, Mrs. Arthur Joy ner, Sr., note paper; mens, Mack Car raway, a leather telephone pad. Refreshments served to guests of the two clubs and other players at tending the tournament were: tuna fish and pimento cheese sandwiches, FARMVILLE DELEGATES TO s DlAJL district meeting . 2_ . - •:' Miss Tabitha PeViseonti and Mrs. A. C. Monk, Sr., delegates from the local organization, attended tile Dis trict D.A.R. meeting held recently in Halifax.
