Marten Craig. The lovely and imposing home of the hostesses on the Gastonia High way was magnificent throughout kwith gleaming silver and arnmge monte of gold and white flowers. Mrs. Charles Crowell welcomed -the guests on arrival and Mr*. J. A. Burris introduced them to the re ceiving line composed of Mise Nancy Craig, Mr*. Hubert Craig, Mrs. Max ton Craig and her mother, Mrs. M. W. Bollina of Farmville. Mrs. Charles Raper Jones and Mrs. J. Everette Henley received in the den and-directed the guests to the > music room where Miss Dorothy Ballinger tendered soft music (faring the calling hours. Mrs. W. E, Garri son directed callers to the register which was in charge of Mrs. W. G. Bandy. Mrs. S. A. Wilson directed the guests to the-dihing room where Mrs. Jjunes De Wese cf Charlotte and Mrs. Edgar .Love, Jr., received. The banquet dining table was cov ered with a handsome imported cut work doth with a large silver bowl of whRe chrysanthemums, stock, and feverfew, making a beautiful center piece. Mrs. M. T. Leatiherman pre sided over the silver punch bowl, and Mrs. J. E. Kale, Sr., poured tea. Miss Elizabeth Love, Miss Barbara Love, Miss Ann James, Miss Mary Miller, Rhyne, Miss Fredda Thamson and Miss Judy Chandler served the dainty and artistic refreshments.
