. The "Victory" meet was i'avored by
beautiful weather.' Owing to existing
condition? at camp, the number of
participants was not as large as had
been hoped for, but the amount of inj&ir*'
terest shown and the quality of the
Kfe-v track work done was declared very
gratifyng to those who had the meet
Hra-V in charge. This meet, which was iden}
. tical with those held in all of the military
camps and cantonments in tha
" United States, was promoted by the
: . army Y. M. C. A. at Camp Greene, the
' moving spirit-being Secretary A. B.
Bergman, camp physical director for
the army "Y." The athletic officers
of the camp- co-operated with the
"Y," as did Mr. Clarence F. Foster,
camp athletic director.
