PAGE EIGHT 3E Hoke Oil and Fertilizer Co. ROCKFISH GIN OAKDALE GIN THE NEWS JOURNAL, BAEFORD. N. C 5 do nl in ft m 0 TV i U VI 1 U W U n This year every farm in Hoke County is making in tensive preparations for an abundant cotton crop-the crop that will provide lint and oil to keep up this ' na tion's men and arms and her civilians at home. Not only is cotton-and its by-products-from the fields of this county going into explosives and food and clothing for fighting men around the world, but its im portance is increas'ng as a substitute for many mater ials no longer available to the general public. All these uses take millions of pounds of cotton, but so great is our productive capacity, that when all the cotton that is needed for war is used, there is still an abundance left. By producing more cotton, and using more cotton this county can contribute a vital service to the nation in winning this war. w; El COME!
