T .feaiaiKuWi-,ir" ' . a..': Roy Martin, of Maxtan who was bitten by flying gremlins before scientists knew of the disease these mythical guys cause, told members of the Raeford Kiwanis club last week that civilian pilot instructors have played a great part in this war. The civilian instructors get the boys when they have just .started their flight training. They give them the basic instruction at these schools, such as the one at Bennettsville where Martin is e.r ployed. It's here that the abilities of the budding pilots are thoroughly studied and the select ive processes cf the army are most severely applied in approving or turning down men for the air forces. WAC Program Friday A program on the Womans Army Corp will be given before the Kiwanis club Friday evening under the super vision of Lt. Marjorie Conover, re cruiting officer for Hoke County. !
