Federation of Womens Clubs, was guest speaker at the meeting of the Cameron club held Thursday at the home of Mrs. J. Clyde Kelley. In her talk Mrs. Murray talked on the federated program for the year and suggested club projects which would aid in our war effort and be of i direct benefit to men and women, in the service!. The club presented Mrs. Murray with a "warsage" at the close of the business session. On leaving Cameron, Mrs. Murray, who was accompanied by Mrs. H. A. O OFFICER'S WIVES CLUB IOSTESSES TO RAEFORD The Officer's Wives Club of Raeford were hostesses to a number of Rae ford people on Friday evening. Ta bles were arranged in the Armory which was most attractive with its Christmas decorations. Guests making up twenty tables played bridge, rook and set back. Sandwich es and coffee were served after the games. The bingo game, bringing the party to a cl se was lots of fun and a fitting climax to a most pleasant evening. Those invited to this affair greajly appreciated the courtesy of the Army Women and the spirit of good will that prompted it. Sst. and Mrs. Neill Scnter who are stationed at Yuma, Arizona, were called to North Carolina on account cf the serious illness of Sgt. Senter's sis. tcr, Mrs. Jeff Lanier. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Upchurch, Mr. Tom Upehurcri and John Davis spent the day in Charlotte Saturday. John Davis was successfully fitted with an artificial arm. He lost an arm several years ago. Mrs. James McDonald resumed her i work in the Home Economics Depart ment of the County Schools Monday. She had been granted ,a leave for a month. Mrs. McDonald was, before her marriage a month ago. Miss Mary Falls Peele. Mr. and Mrs. Laurie McEachern of Raleigh ;ocnt Sunday in Raeford. They went to Wilmington on a busi ness trip Monday. Mrs. J. h. Baker attended the fu. neral of her brother-in-law, Mr. J. T. Brooks in Siler City Tuesday of last week. She spent the remainder of the week visiting with his family. Mis. Roscoe Currie and Mrs. Cole j Williams spent a while last Tuesday lalternoon with their husband in Fort 1 Bragg. Mrs. J. A. Green has been quite sick with a severe attack of pleurisy at the Will Roberts home. The Rev. W. C. Brown is now a pa ; tient in a Richmond Hospital. His box number 1514, Zone 22, Richmond, Va I Mr. and Mrs. Will Rose, Mrs. Hes ton Rose and Mrs. John McVicker at tended the funeral services held last Wednesday for Lt. Grady Peele at Gib son. Lt. Peele was a nephew of Mrs. Will Rose. Mrs. Carl Rose is a patient at Highsmith hospital where she has un. dergone an operation. She is report ed to be recovering nicely. Mrs. Younger Snead, Mrs. J.
