Coltrane recently advised North Carolina farmers to place or- lers as soon as possible for the fer ilizer they will need next spring. "Every farmer who has a dry place in which fertilizer can be stored should put in his order now and have it shipped as soon as convenient," said Coltrane. He declared that fertilizer manu facturers have about the same a mount of materials this season as last year, but they are still handi capped by labor shortages and trans portation difficulties. If the anticipated heavy demand for fertilizer is to be .ret by plant ing time, there must be an orderly movement of fertilizer from the fac tory to the farm, according to Col trane. "The farmer who orders his fertili er early and p?ts it under his own loof will not only be helping himself, ;e will be helping some farmer who acks storage space," said Coltrane. 1) (Contniued from Page MORE ABOUT SCHOOL NEWS cipal speakers at this meeting.
