The revival meeting at Ephesus Baptist church this week ,was posptoned on account of the polio situation. Mrs. John Patterson, Mrs. Nifa Mae Strickland, Mrs. P. C. ]^glish, Miss Lilly Wood and Mrs. Mary Mclnnis went on the trip to. Manteo, last week, from Rockfish Club. EXPERIENCED Mrs. Roscoe Smith and daughter Brenda have returned to Sky- land Terrace, after a two weeks stay with. Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Long visit ed her aunt, Mrs.' Sheppard, who is seriously ill, in |Cinston, last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jitt- man have an apartment in the home of A. T. Jones . Department of Agriculture said in releasing- its monthly list of plen tiful foods. In the fresh vegetable line, Irish potatoes, cabbage, celery, an(? tomatoes hold top rank on OSDA’s August plentiful foods list. Potatoes are listed as an especially good buy with markets being well stocked. Plentiful fruits for August are oranges and lemons. In addition, homemakers can find an array of canned fruits and vegetables on retail markets, including canned peas, tomato products, prunes, apple products, and citrus juices and segments.
