[OBIOC [ocaoi [OEao iiiiaJ : Ti ■ 1 » If s i 1 ■» * The brilliant evening star is a s5rmbol of many things to many folk. Mariners hail it as a good omen, for it usually forecasts a clear, calm night and smooth sailing. The shepherd tending nis flocks on a desolate hillside gratefully notes its appearance in the heavens, for its friendly Tight offers an intangible sort of com panionship during his lonely vigil. To many, the star is repre sentative of God’s infinite power and wisdom. Just as this star touches hearts in countless di^erent ways, so may the Phurch bring to those in all walks of life peace and comfort which lead to a happier, more fruitful pattern of life. Let us make the Church our guiding light. We can brighten our lives if we accept the teaching of the Scriptures as guideposts along the pathway to future endeavors.
