Stallings of Raeford were present ‘to assist with the enter tainment. Mr. and Mrs. James. Bracey, formerb’ of Raeford, have moved to what is knowTi as the Stone place near Rockfish. Three of their children entered school here this week. C. Smith of Sylvester, Ga., have received word that he is critically ill in a Georgia hospital. , Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ray and son of Lakerim were dinner guests of Mrs. Marshall Ray Sunday. Rev. D. E. Miller, gave a party for Miss Betty Jean Wood at her home on Monday evening. They played games, sang Christmas carols and presented Miss Wood with Christmas gifts: After the gifts were opened and displayed, refreshments were served and everyone went home happy with the Christmas spirit in their hearts because they had made some one else happy. Mrs. J. P. Barbour Sunday. The Christmas program at Ga latia church has been changed somewhat since last week. The Christmas tree and children’s program will still be on Thursday night, December 20, but the pag eant and Christmas music by the choir will probably be on Sunday night, December 23, unless there are further changes to keep from conflicting with other churches. A. B. Jones is erecting a build ing on his lot, a garage, “smoke house” or wash house. He will tell us what it is wh^sn he completes it. David Mclnnis of Lakerim vis ited his aunt, Mrs. Marshall Ray Sunday. Other guests in the home of Mrs. Ray Sunday were Misses Catherine Ann, Jessie May and Jeanette Mclnnis, nieces of Mrs. Ray, all of Florence, S. C. and Miss' Viola Ellis of Fayetteville. The folks from Fayetteville St., who are not ifse to much traffic, can hardly cross “Main” street here in Rockfish, especially when the stream of workers from Fort Bragg are coming home. Little Homer and Dixie ‘Dudes complain ed of the traffic lights when- they here but they don’t bother anyone else. "" Mrs. J. W. Caddell and daugh ter, Mrs. Albert Sanders, spent last Thursday in Charlotte visit ing Mrs. Richard Manies. Mrs. Caddell also visited her uncle, J. T.
