On this Thursday in Holy Week, many Christians around the world will gather at the table of our Lord and Saviour to par take of the bread and wine in remembrance of Him. With a little imagination we see them come, His believing children, of all races and nations. Many Christian groups are represented. We are agreed that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and that His spirit dwells within the hearts of believers. We are also agreed that if these elements are taken by faith, they become a means of grace to the soul of the participant. Traywlck Revival services will begin Sunday night in Sandy Grove Church at 7:30 o'clock. The Rev. B. T. Hurley, retired Methodist minister who resides at Red Springs, will assist the pastor, the Rev. N. P. Edens, of Parkton. The public is cordially invited. Carolyn Russell celebrated her eighth birthday last Friday after noon with several of her school friends. Misses Ruth and Helen Tread way of Raeford spent the past week end with their sister, Mrs. Grover McMillan and family. Friends here sympathize very much with Mrs. Ella Yeoman and family of Red Springs in the loss by death of Miss Lillian Yeoman of Washington, D. C. Saturday. Everyone enjoyed the BTU Social at the Community House last Saturday night. Mrs. Andy Anderson gave a birthdny party for her brother, Vann Carter, lust Saturday after noon, celebrating his eighth bir thday. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral ser vices for Mrs. J. D. McGougan last Friday afternoon. I guess Mrs. McGougan (88) was the old est and best beloved resident of this community. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sessoms and Ricky spent Tuesday morning in Fayetteville shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Quick and a number of the Sandy Grove Church MYF members attended the Fayetteville District Youth Rally in Aberdeen on Thursday, March 31. Mr. and Mrs. Lexie Johnson announce the birth of a daughter, Helen Marie, on April 4, at the Jordan Clinic in Raeford. The Mildouson PTA will not hold its regular meeting on Wed nesday evening. The meeting has been postponed and will be held on April 20. This meeting will be of special interest to parents of pre-school children. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Livingston and Miss Mamie Livingston spent Sunday in White Oak visiting re latives. The Sandy Grove Ladies Aid Society met at the church hut on Tuesday evening at 7:30. A de votional program was presented with Miss Mamie Livingston, Mrs. T. C. Jones and Mrs. Brown Hen drix participating. Mrs. Traywick was, for many years, president of the Ladies Aid So ciety, and though she was unable to attend this meeting it seemed appropriate to show some of her handiwork, this being the last meeting of the group under that name.
