21, al the Raelord Cemetery
by the Revs. John Glenn and
Jack Mansfield.
Mrs. McDuffie moved to this
area in 105. before Hok
County was formed. She was
active in the United Daughters
of the Confederacy and the
Raelord Woman's Club. For 50
years she taught Sunday
School at the First Baptist
C hureh.
She is survived by two sons,
I dwin L. McDuffie and Jack B.
McDuffie, Raeford; one
daughter, Mrs. Mildred Young,
Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Mrs.
Martlia O. Herlock, Baltimore;
six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.

Point Industiies go to live lour

Each scholarship covers the
full cost of books and tuition
at the college of the recipient's

Mr. Peeler is warehouse
supervisor at the Fayetteville
Plant and Mr. Workman and
Mr. Britt are sewmg machine
mechanics.
Kings Point furnishes
summer woik for all of the
scholarship students, and
wherever possible, other
students over Id years of age.
This year three Hoke High
students arc" woiking in the
Fayetteville plant. They are:
Ronnie Peeler, Steve Plumnier,
and Jim Plum in e r .
Approximately thirty persons
living in Hoke County are
employed at Kings Point on a
full time basis.
The Britt boy is a graduate
of 71st High School and the
Workman bov graduated from
Hope Mills High.
The world's largest flying
bird is the wandering albatross,
with a wing spread of about
