Notice is hereby given in
compliance with G.S. 143-129
(supplement) and G.S. 143-132
that the County of Hoke will
contract for a posting
validating remittance control
machine for use in the Tax
Collector's Office, bids having
been opened on Tuesday July
22 and only one bid being
submitted. Said piece of
equipment must meet the
following specifications:
1. Equipment must be of
non-carriage type,
manufactured in the United
States of America, under all
Federal laws of fair
employment practices.
2. Equipment shall provide a
minimum of eighteen (18)
mechanical totals.
3. Machine shall provide
suitable printing mechanism to
produce a detailed journal tape
of all transactions, print
detailed breakdown of
transactions, and make all
prims in original, non-alterable
manner.
4. Machine must operate on
120-208 volts A.C. current, at
acceptable noise level.
5. All totals, audit tapes and
printers must be under control
of tumbler type locking, keys
must be of non-duplicating
types that eliminate
unauthorized duplication.
6. Service must be available
during all normal working
hours. Manufacturer must
provide new equipment with
twelve months guarantee of all
parts and labor, and
subsequent service contract.
7. Contractor must be
responsible for and must
provide full system installation
and operator training.
More detailed instructions of
the machine and its location in
the Courthouse may be
obtained in the Office of the
County Manager, Courthouse,
Raeford, North Carolina,
anytime from 9:00 a.m. to
12:00 Noon, and from 1:00
p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, up to and
including Aug. 4, 1969, at
10:00 a.m.
Bids for said equipment shall
be opened by the
Commissioners at its regular
meeting to be held on August
4. 19b9, at 10:00 a.m. in the
Building of Education
Conference Room, Raeford,
North Carolina.
