Airman Cecil is a 1975 graduate of Hoke County High School in Raeford. His wife, Brenda, and son, Allen, reside in Raeford. Airman John L. Cecil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold B. Currieof Rt. 1, Red Springs, has graduated at Lackland AFB, Tex., from Air Force basic training. The airman, who is remaining at Lackland for specialized training in the security police field, studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. Completion of this training earned the individual credits towards an associate in applied science degree Pvt. Kenneth Dixon, son of Mr. and Mrs. James McCormick, grad uated from basic training for the U.S. Marine Corps, at Parris Island, S.C., June 20.
