ning 89-37. D. Huff topped the All
Stars scoring with 19 points, R.

points. LREMC was spurred by E.
Chavis with 16 points. L. Campbell
and J.M. Collum threw in 5 points
each.
In the second game the House of
Raeford defeated the Mindblowers
67-38. C. Chandler led all scoring
Hoke Boys ,
Hoke High's boys' varsity made
it three wins in six games for the
season Friday night by beating
South View 45-43, in the Hoke
gym.
The Hoke JVs made it four wins
in a row in their last five games,
downing South View's juniors
57-53.
The Hoke girls, however, lost
64-41 to the South View girls, their
fourth defeat in six games.
The Hoke squads played
Seventy-First's at Seventy-First
Tuesday.
The Hoke boys' varsity will play
Union Pines at Hoke at 7 p.m.
Friday.
The winning margin was pro
vided by Michael McLean's layup
after point guard Eldred Blue stole
the ball 30 seconds from the end.
The Bucks left the court with a
second to go. unaware that a
pushing foul had been called on
South View. They returned five
minutes later and played out the
last second.

The undefeated Hoke High
Ninth Grade girls' basketball team
won twc> more games this week,
stretching its record to five wins for
the season.
The Hoke girls downed West Lee
64-45 after overcoming a West Lee
lead in the first period. They
smothered East Lee 67-24 in the
other game.
West Lee jumped out to an 11-5
lead and kept the lead through the
first quarter. Hoke was on the short
end of an 18-12 score at the end of
the period. The Buckettes did
better in the second period, out
scoring West Lee 18-12 to finish the
half with the count knotted 29-all.

time. Lisa Smith and Sheila

and 15 rebounds Dela Pridgen had
10 points, and Anne McMillan had
6 points and 13 rebounds.
The Buckettes were scheduled to

day.
To open the night's action, the
Naturals downed 401 Gulf 15-b.
and 15-1. Harold Livingston and
Gary Culp led the Naturals with 21
serving points. 401 Gulf was
sparked by John Smith and Paul
Jones.
The pairings at 7: 15 saw Teal Oil
defeat Bad Co. 15-2 and 15-13.
Cecil Campbell and Jimmy Teal
together gathered 19 serving points
for Teal Oil, while Mitchel Cox and
Jerry Long set Bad Co.
The third-round match went to
Carter's Pig-N-Chicken over 401
Gulf 15-3 and 15-4. Carter's Pig-N
Chicken enjoyed excellent efforts

night went to Bad Co. over the
Spikers 15-12, 13-15, and 15-12.
"Diis match was the only one of the
night to go three games. Bad Co.
overpowered the Spikers by great
efforts from Ken Koonce and
Dwight Jackson. James Gillis and
Tommy McColl led the Spikers.
