The Hoke County Association for
the Developmentally Disabled will
be having a bake sale on Saturday,
December 19, at the Edenborough
Shopping Center in front of Edin
borough Pharmacy.
All Droceeds of the sale will go
towards the purchase of a van to
transport handicapped adults from
this county to a work activities
Erogram in Laurinburg (sponsored
y Scotland County Mental
Health).
The Association has been re
sponsible for providing transpor
tation to these adults for ap
proximately seven years. It is a
private, non-profit organization.
The van is being purchased
through a contract with the N.C.
Department of Transportation. It
will be a 15 - passenger van with a
wheelchair lift.
